Aboard a decorated fishing boat, gilded with flowers and blooms, we find Eño and Persephone; happy, dancing within their very own Eden-upon-the-sea. Yet bliss quickly fades, as Eño experiences haunting recollections. Despite Persephone’s pleas, Eño succumbs to his mental anguish and crashes the boat into a dock. Admitted to a psychiatric ward following his actions, Eño encounters Dr Benussi and his oppressive curiosity. Our troubled fisherman finds himself navigating not only the good doctor’s prying, but also his own inner turmoil. Perhaps salvation remains with his beloved Persephone, and the hope her visits bring?

SHELLS FROM A BLANKET: a full-length play which explores the xenophobic and misogynistic tendencies within European society that disguise themselves as conservative thought, or a selective-fondness for portions of history accompanied by the denial of colonial malevolence. The narrative follows burnt-out psychiatrist Juan Leumas arriving at a bar in Barcelona and awaiting the arrival of his fiancée in order to cancel the wedding. As he waits for her, he engages in various conversations with the antagonistic barman and his customers. We observe the bartender’s defence of his prejudice on the basis of history and tradition, as well as his reflexive ire at the customers who challenge his viewpoint.
THE MUTINY: a short play that considers the frustrations and moral blows that come from working in a creaking mental health system that itself is burdened by the expectation that it can cure social crises as well as psychiatric ones. Whilst clerking in new admission Mr Severin Churchyard, Dr Moore is subject to Mr Churchyard’s psychotic perceptions of conniving rats, infinite spiral staircases, and the deceit that is integral to the wonderful Galleon that we all find ourselves rowing. Dr Moore begins to question how fulfilling and impactful his work truly is, and he locks his colleagues into a staff room whilst he sets about his new direction. His trapped colleagues can only wait to hear how Dr Moore’s revelation becomes mutiny.
MI CASA, SU CASA: 10-15 minute short play which sees a happy couple arrive in Cornwall for their holiday. Upon arriving at the holiday cottage, are introduced to the wonders of their vacation, as well as the woes it casts upon the locals.
